Skunk Removal
We always try to find the most humane and least stressful method to remove and exclude skunks from your home or business. This often includes closing off the skunk entry point(s) and installing a temporary one-way door to let the skunks leave and will not allow them to re-enter. Skunks will usually leave within 1-3 days because they are hungry and thirsty, but we will leave the one-way door in place for 10-14 days to be certain. When we return to remove our temporary one-way door, our wildlife removal specialists will ensure the area is secure. We warranty all of our prevention work, including entry points, vents and any problem areas we have treated. We use this method whether the skunks have made their home under your deck, shed, sunroom or other structures. Seasonal live trapping is also available.
Skunks
Skunks dig for grubs in lawns and gardens. They commonly burrow under decks, sheds, porches and buildings to make a den to have their babies. Skunks spray with their scent glands up to 15 feet and the odour can remain on pets for weeks or months. They can carry the rabies virus and not ‘look’ infected. Skunks are usually silent but can produce a bird-like noise.
